Nothing seems better than a bowl of ice cream on a hot summer day. Screaming for ice cream brings out our inner kid, and we have no shame in it! Vanilla ice cream is one of the most searched flavors on the internet. It’s so versatile, as there are many other ways to enjoy this classic, creamy flavor. We decided to try six brands of vanilla ice cream to find the best one, and we must say our taste buds are doing a happy dance.
This Rite Aid brand of ice cream isn’t what you’d expect from a pharmacy store. It is gluten free, egg free, peanut free and soy free, plus it’s made with skim milk. It’s definitely a safe alternative for everyone to enjoy ice cream.
Deal of the Week: Thrifty Ice Cream for $3.99 at Superior Grocers
Although a classic, we love this brand because of its funky flavors like Chunky Monkey or Half Baked (and we even enjoy their fun names). However, this contender does keep it real with only the realest and richest flavor of vanilla, so we still give it two thumbs up!
Deal of the Week: Ben & Jerry Ice Cream for $2.99 at Market Basket
For a low-calorie ice cream, we must say this hits the spot, with less guilt! We don’t feel bad eating this whole thing, which gives it bonus points. It has low sugar and high in protein, so basically we’re working out while eating it.
Deal of the Week: Enlightened Ice Cream for $4.49 at Sprouts Farmers Market
Vanilla happens to be Blue Bell’s most popular ice cream flavor, because nothing beats a classic. The ice cream is hand-cranked, which just amps up the classic flavors. It just tastes homemade, which really brings us back to butter-churning days, and you know everything tastes better.

When you hear old-fashioned, you know it’s going to have a classic flavor and style to it. We were right. It’s very soft and cloud-like because it uses fresh cream and less air. It actually seems like something you would get in an ice cream shop. Someone give us a waffle cone, please!
Deals of the Week: Tillamook Ice Cream for $3.99 at Giant
After deep thought, consideration, and many brain freezes, we have come down to the ultimate brand of vanilla ice cream. And the winner is…*drum roll*...Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream!
We couldn’t resist the classic brand’s natural vanilla taste, made with fresh cream, sugar, milk, and Rainforest Alliance Certified vanilla beans. The brand partners with farmers all over America, so you know you’re getting the freshest cream, making it taste so good!
Congratulations to the winner, the prize is us consuming cartons of your ice cream while we binge our Netflix shows.
