Businesses and companies alike are selling products to help spread the cause, and here’s how you can help.
Also referred to as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October in order to increase awareness of the disease that affects both women and men.
It also increases the attention and support for early detection, treatment, and palliative care. The pink ribbon is a symbol for breast cancer, representing hope for the future, a fight for a cure, and honors everyone who has been touched by the disease. Its goal is to evoke solidarity with others who currently have breast cancer.
Twenty of its brands are creating limited edition products or pledging donations in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Limited edition products include hand cream from Acenda, a sheet mask from GlamGlow, moisturizer from Origins, and Estee Lauder’s own Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex that even comes with a bracelet (and much more). In support of The Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, Bobbi Brown is introducing their limited-edition Powerful Pinks Luxe Matte Lip Color Duo in shades of Boss Pink and Razzberry. All revenue from this product will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Beauty stores like Sephora have this brand in stock.
Their “Let’s Stamp Out Breast Cancer” movement is supporting the cause through stamp purchases. Every sheet of stamps purchased helps advanced breast cancer research. Find a Rite Aid store near you and help fund to find a cure.
This seltzer water beverage partnered up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to release a special-branded “grapefruitbubly”, which comes in pink cans in support of breast cancer awareness. This limited-edition Bubly is available in 8, 12, and 18 packs, and can be purchased in grocery stores, mass-retail stores, and online.
The fitness brand is supporting the month with their release of the Stronger Capsule Collection, in collaboration with Beyond Yoga, Lululemon, and Oliver Thomas. There are 8 pieces for men and women, including matching sets, loungewear, a t-shirt, exercise shorts, a tank, and a tote. Peloton will donate 20% of the proceeds from the collection.
Back for its 12th year in teaming up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the fine jewelry brand is releasing the Renaissance Cable Bracelet in aluminum and pink acrylic, as well as a Cable Classic Rose Candle. 20% of the purchase price proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You can also buy a pink rubber Cable Bracelet for $25, and 100% of those new profits will be donated.
